Kamojang Geothermal & Hot Water Geyser
The third nearby crater around Bandung is located about two hours from us to the southeast. This geothermal area features geysers and steam vents, with steam harnessed to generate electricity — you can see the installation and pipes spread across the landscape.
A special visitors’ spot is naturally embedded in its original surroundings, featuring a 20-meter-high geyser, boiling mud wells, and other fascinating displays of the earth’s power. There are open wells, as well as a hot-water pool where you can bathe 24/7 in naturally heated 65°C water. Unlike Ciater Hot Spring, the water contains no sulphur, and the place is not touristy at all.
There’s also a good restaurant on-site — perfect for real adventurers seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience.
